Facial Mapping
Face ID is enabled by the True Depth camera system located at the top of screen. Made up of an infra-red camera, flood illuminator, front camera, dot projector, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor along with the speaker and microphone. The flood illuminator, IR camera & dot projector combine to detect your face, capturing an image and analyzing more than 30,000 invisible dots to create a precise depth map of your face.
